Ken Harkenrider has taught Social Studies, English and Physical Education, and has coached boys and girls soccer in his years at Canterbury School since 1989. He currently serves as the High School Director of Athletics as well as coaching middle school level soccer teams. Ken served as president of the Midland Athletic Conference while Canterbury was a conference member, and has occasionally been on Adhoc committees of the IHSAA in the state of Indiana.

In addition to the school, Ken has been on staff with Indiana Youth Soccer, presenting coaching license courses, coordinating the Olympic Development Program for Northeast Indiana District, supporting TOP Soccer activities in Ft Wayne and serving a term on the Indiana Soccer Foundation Board. In February of 2020, Ken was inducted into the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame for his lifetime contributions.

Ken earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1984, where he also won four letters and served as senior team captain for the men’s soccer team. He and his wife, Lorie, have 3 children.
